ARE THERE DISCOUNTS FOR LARGER ORDERS?
Yes. The more invitations you order the cheaper your stationery will become. This is because the price of your stationery is made up of the design costs (the time taken to personalise it to your requirements) and the printing costs. The time to design 20 invitations is the same as the time to design 100 so the cost is divided between the number you order, making it fairer to you. The cost of printing your stationery also goes down the more you order so we pass these costs on to you.
CAN YOU ALTER THE DESIGN FOR ME?
Yes. We can alter nearly everything you see in our designs. The text you see in the examples is just an example; feel free to be as creative as you like with your wording! We will always do our best to make it fit nicely and we will advise if we think you've given us too much text.
If the design elements you want to change are quite significant we'll still be able to do it but we might charge you an extra design fee to cover the costs. We ask that you let us know before we start work of any design changes you'd like because they may change the way we lay out your text. The design stage includes 2 rounds of minor changes intended to be a chance for you to ask for corrections to text.
CAN YOU ALTER THE COLOURS TO SUIT MY THEME/ COLOUR PALETTE?
Nearly always. Almost every design is set up to allow us to make significant changes to colours; for example in the Tropical Travel range we frequently change the background colour, text and banners to different colours and in the Watercolour Floral range we often change the flower colours to match different palettes.
DO YOU DO EVENING INVITATIONS?
Yes. Every range has a variety of invitation styles that can be adapted to evening invitations. Customers often prefer a lower price option for their evening invites so we recommend A6 or square flat cards or the boarding pass style cards that come with a cut-off RSVP card and envelope.
We also have packs of 10 x blank invitations in some of the most popular ranges which provide a really cost-effective way of doing your wedding stationery if you are on a tight budget or only want a small quantity of invitations.
ARE ENVELOPE LINERS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE?
Our envelope liners are a hand-made add-on that cost either £0.85 per envelope for A6/ square envelopes or £0.95 per envelope for boarding pass/ A5 envelopes.
We don't include them because it would mean increasing our standard prices and we like to give people the option of reducing the cost of their invitations if their budget doesn't stretch to envelope liners. They are a lovely addition though and really do add a wow-factor to the stationery.
IS THERE A MINIMUM ORDER?
In theory we can do orders as small as 10 invitations but because of the need to cover the design costs, the printing set up costs and the minimum printing costs we have to charge more for very small numbers.
HOW LONG DOES THE PROCESS TAKE?
Normally the whole process takes 4-6 weeks. It is often faster than this but we like to leave a little leeway in case a customer needs longer to check their proofs or in case of production issues or delivery problems.
At busy times of year (e.g. the spring and summer months) it's a good idea to leave yourself 6 weeks or more especially if you are ordering on-the-day stationery as we like you to have your finished stationery in good time with no panic! Please don't leave buying your stationery too late; we hate letting people down and risking not getting it to you on time.
CAN I ORDER SAMPLES?
Yes. Samples are available to buy from the product listings. We'll do our best to send you a sample from the range that you request. We don't hold examples of every single print style/ type in our range and we cannot do samples in a colour that we've not done before because they are not made to order.
HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE FOR DELIVERY?
Our delivery costs are based on the size of your order. We use Royal Mail Special Delivery or Parcelforce tracked and signed for the majority of UK orders and these costs are based on weight.
CAN I CANCEL MY ORDER?
In some cases, especially if you have indicated that you'd like your stationery very urgently we might begin work on your design the same day that you give us your information, therefore it is very important that if you do want to cancel your order that you let us know before we start work. If we have already done your design and you wish to cancel we may be able to provide a partial refund to cover the cost of the time we've given you.
WILL I RECEIVE A PROOF?
After you have given us all of the information to be included we will start work on your design. If you have asked us for changes to the design (colour etc) we will make those changes at this stage. If we think you've forgotten something or that your text will not fit we will let you know.
You will receive a digital proof of how your stationery will look by email. This is your chance to check through every bit of it (paying close attention to the text) and to let us know if you see any mistakes. It's really important that you check through your stationery extremely carefully.
The design stage allows for 2 rounds of minor changes (intended for changes to spellings/ punctuation etc.). If you require further rounds of changes or further significant design changes you may be asked to pay an additional design charge of £30 per hour to cover the extra work required. It is for this reason that we ask you to let us know about design changes you'd like at the beginning. It's also helpful to us if the text you give us at the beginning is correct (if you completely re-write your text it can mean a lot of re-working is required to your design).
We will ask you to approve your design by email. When you say that you approve the design it means that you are accepting that the design is correct and that you have checked it thoroughly. Once you have approved the design we will send it to print and in most cases we cannot make any more amendments because the printer will often begin preparation for print very quickly. Paper Willow cannot take responsibility for errors in the text once the design has been approved (and has gone to print).
